What You Should Know
MetaboRev combines safe and effective weight loss ingredients with ingredients that could cause negative side effects in some dieters. Dangerous ingredients turn a healthy, effective supplement into a product dieters should avoid. In this case, the dangerous ingredients could cause liver damage or death – not something dieters should be willing to risk to lose weight.
List of Ingredients
Ingredients:
- Green Tea Extract
- Garcinia Cambogia
- Lotus Leaf
- L-Carnitine
- Konjac Root
- Geranium Oil Extract
- Caffeine
- Semnostachya Menglaensis
Product Description
Green tea extract is one of two safe and effective ingredients in MetaboRev. The antioxidant contains caffeine and EGCG – two elements proven to increase metabolism and decrease appetite. Caffeine is also added to the formula for an added metabolism boost. Unfortunately amounts for neither ingredient are listed in the product description, so the dieter is left wondering if there is enough green tea or too much caffeine.
Konjac root is another safe ingredient. Also referred to as glucomannan, konjac root is a water-soluble fiber that helps the dieter feel fuller after eating. When taken 30 minutes before a reduced calorie, nutritious meal, dieters may eat less than they would if they did not take konjac root. This theory relies on the dieter recognizing what it feels like to be full; something many dieters have difficulty with.
The potentially dangerous ingredients in MetaboRev include garcinia cambogia and geranium oil. Garcinia cambogia may be safe, but there is some question about whether or not the ingredient caused liver damage in some dieters. Until the issue is cleared up dieters should choose supplements that do not contain garcinia cambogia. Geranium oil, also referred to as 1,3 dimethylamylamine, is associated with increased heart rate, hypertension and death. This is NOT a safe ingredient for any dieter.
Semnostachya Menglaensis is an unknown ingredient that may increase metabolism and decrease appetite. We found the ingredient listed in multiple supplements, but no clear indication of what the ingredient is or where the ingredient comes from.
Advantages
- Contains green tea, caffeine and konjac root.
Disadvantages
- MetaboRev contains potentially dangerous ingredients.
- One ingredient has no known source or proven attributes.
Conclusion
MetaboRev is one of those supplements that packs together multiple stimulants and markets the product as a safe, natural fat burner. Ephedra was natural too, but otherwise healthy athletes died taking ephedra-based supplements. We would warn dieters to consider all of the ingredients in any supplement before taking a stimulant that may cause more negative side effects than positive benefits.
