Most people want to infuse a little more protein into their diets, right? Well we got right into ProtiZyme’s ingredients, side effects and scientific research. Next, we read over handfuls of customer reviews and finally gathered all of our information to serve you up the truth.

What is ProtiZyme?

To start, ProtiZyme is a protein powder that claims to deliver the highest bioavailability of protein per scoop more than any other powder on the market. Among its ingredients are Whey Protein Isolate, Whey Protein Concentrate, Protease, Magnesium, Vitamin A, Vitamin D, and Amylase. This is a top quality product that tastes amazing.

Metabolic Nutrition is behind this protein supplement. They have been around for over 25 years, and strive to bring their customers a greater-tasting protein powder. You can buy their products directly on their website. We love the customer reactions to the taste of the product and we do like that the company has been around for a while, but read on…

Price – “Too Expensive!”

The first problem we found with ProtiZyme was the price. “Whenever you make a better tasting product you have to use better ingredients,” says our Research Editor. “In this case, there seem to be more than just a few customers who just weren’t satisfied with the results versus the price they paid for a better tasting product.”

“Ridiculously expensive. A 2 lb tub of this cost me $41.00, and a 5lber is typically about $90- this is, without a doubt, among the most expensive protein I’ve seen out there,” said one customer.

“The container is half full. Seems like I didn’t get a lot for the money,” added another user.

We understand people have different experiences sometimes, “Good tasting product & was impressed with how smooth it was after mixing together, there were no clumps or gritty feeling to the drink. Will be purchasing more soon!”

Flavor of ProtiZyme Ingredients – “Too Sweet?”

The second problem we had with ProtiZyme was the flavor. It might be a little too sweet. “Product was sickeningly sweet,” said one ProtiZyme review. “Too sweet and definite after taste,” another user added.

The other side told a different story. “Wonderful flavor! Goes really well in my pre-workout shake mixed with soy milk, chia seeds, banana and frozen peaches – YUM!”

Throughout our years of experience in this field we can honestly say that it takes just one small misstep to ruin the chances of real results. If ProtiZyme is overpriced and a little on the sweet side, that could leave a rather bad taste in your mouth.

The Science – “Research on the Ingredients?”

The two main ingredients in this supplement are whey protein concentrate and whey protein isolate. Whey protein concentrate is low in carbs and fat. Depending on how concentrated it is, it could contain 30%-90% protein. Whey protein isolate is processed further, removing all of the fat. It typically contains around 90% protein. Unfortunately, there are no studies on this product that we could find, but there are published trials on whey protein concentrate and isolate.

The Bottom Line – Does ProtiZyme Work?

Are we telling you to rush out and order some ProtiZyme protein? Well, we do like the assortment of flavors and the company behind it seems to be reputable, but we have reservations backing it. There simply isn’t enough research supporting the claims. The price seems a little out there and the customer reviews seem to suggest a product that’s a little too sweet.

If you really want to lose weight, we suggest grabbing a supplement that’s affordable with great customer reviews.

Among the best products we’ve found this year is called Leptigen. It’s a proprietary blend of four clinically-tested ingredients have been shown to help boost metabolism, curb appetite, and burn fat. No one mentions harmful side effects and user express seeing great results.

The company behind the product even offers a Special Trial Offer.
