Adipotrim Review

This week, I obsessed over every aspect of Adipotrim. We love researching dietary supplements to find out if they’re a solid option or if they’re nothing but hype, so naturally we decided to take a closer look at the ingredients, side effects, clinical research, and customer service to see what we could dig up. We also read through hundreds of comments. Finally, we condensed and summarized to give you the bottom line.

What You Need to Know

First off, Adipotrim ingredients are evening primrose oil, cassia seed, oriental water plantain rhizome, lotus leaf, medicinal starch, and thiamine. The company claims these ingredients can lower cholesterol and improve blood flow. They can also cleanse toxins from the digestive system, block the absorption of carbohydrates, and remove excess water. Plus, they are supposed to help build lean muscle, help metabolize sugar, boost energy and metabolism.

This supplement was manufactured by Deseo Rebajar, Inc. We didn’t find an official website, but there are a few places online selling the product. We like the fact they list the ingredients, but read on…

Undisclosed Ingredients – “Not Good!”

Our first concern is not all of Adipotrim ingredients, mainly fluoxetine, weren’t mentioned on the label. “Fluoxetine is a SSRI medication, which could lead to a number of negative side effects. Taking a supplement that includes an undisclosed ingredient in the formula can be concerning,” says our Research Editor.

One user said, “I experienced extreme dry mouth and thirst when using this product.”

Another offered, “I didn’t notice any real difference after using this supplement for a couple of weeks.”

We found a few users who said things like, “I lost weight in a month with these pills.”

While others seemed to not have any side effects. One woman said, “I don’t know what the fuss is about, it worked great.”

FDA Warnings – “Another Issue?”

FDA announced in 2013 the company voluntarily recalled the supplement after lab tests revealed it contained fluoxetine, but this ingredient was not listed on the label. That drug is FDA approved for the treatment of several medical conditions. The affected products were recalled.

Side Effects – “Concerning?”

The next issue was with Adipotrim side effects. These included abdominal pain and dry mouth. However, with the addition of the hidden ingredient, people who used the supplement were subject to a number of other potential reactions.

“I started experiencing pain, but I later figured out it was probably an interaction with my prescription meds.”

“Even though the side effects I experienced were minor, they were still an inconvenience.”

Another user said it was worth the discomfort. This man reported, “I had a mild upset stomach but the results were good.”

But, again we saw others who reported they didn’t experience any side effects. “I didn’t experience any kind of side effects,” said one user.

Over the years we’ve noticed that consumers appreciate honesty. Some are more willing to put up with negative side effects if they are told about them in advance. But when they feel lied to, minor nuisances become a problem. If Adipotrim is not upfront with dieters, that could be a deal breaker.

The Science – “Is it There?”

The science to support Adipotrim is just not there. We did find some cassia seed, which can help you lose water weight, but that’s it. The product was pulled from the market for an undeclared ingredient and that makes us concerned about other offerings from the same company.

At DietSpotlight we are always disappointed when we don’t find the science to back up the claims. It makes us hesitant to recommend a specific product.

The Bottom Line – Does Adipotrim Work?

Should you try to find a bottle of Adipotrim before it’s all gone? While some people did see positive results with this product, there were a number of people who didn’t see any major change in their weight while using the product. Another issue that left us hesitant to suggest this supplement is that a prescription medication was found in the formula. That could be cause for serious concern.

If you’re serious about losing weight, we consistently suggest going with a product that’s clinically proven to work and that’s safe.

Among the best products we’ve seen in 2016 is one called Leptigen. This formula is made with four clinically proven ingredients that have been shown to help boost metabolism and fat loss. We couldn’t find reports of side effects of any kind, but we did find some dieters sharing amazing results.

Plus, the makers of Leptigen are offering a Special Trial Offer, an excellent choice.
