When a celebrity creates a line of supplements, like Body Lab, our interest is peaked, so we pored through the ingredients, side effects, customer service and clinical research. We digested hundreds of dieter reviews and comments. Then, we gathered the information, condensed and summarized to give you what you need.
What You Need to Know
To begin with, Body Lab is a line of weight-loss supplements created by Jennifer Lopez. You can buy individual products or a kit to jump-start your journey. Though there are several items to take throughout the day, you can transport them anywhere.
The product, which does not offer a release date, covers everything including shakes, cleanse and detox and a fat burner, good options. Retail vitamin stores and online shops carry the supplement line. We like some of the positive comments and the ease of ordering, but read on…
Less Than Perfect Customer Service
The first worry we have about Body Lab pertains to the customer service department. “Dieters want support and a means of contacting someone with problems and questions,” explains our Research Editor. “If a company is not there when needed, the consumer will notice.”
“Five days and no response. Their site and their customer support is not blowing me away!,” a buyer says.
Another customer reports the same result, “I have the same question and I can’t find an answer to that. I contacted the customer service but they just copied/pasted instructions on their website, which is unclear.”

Products That Just Don’t Work
Whether it is Body Lab side effects or lack of results, there are quite a few customers unhappy with their purchase from the company. “This product does not work. Disappointing that such a well known celebrity has endorsed this product. I didn’t lose any weight on this. Waste of money,” a buyer reports.
“Followed the directions exact and lo and behold nothing ….I did not use this to lose weight I intended for it to cleanse my body…….it did nothing at all,” says another.
The same problem is repeated by an additional user, “This product does nothing… I eat decent, I work out five days a week and nothing changed… don’t waste your money!”
According to our research, all it takes is one problem, whether it is poor customer service or ineffective products, to reduce your chances of reaching your long-term weight-loss goals. If Body Lab does offer ineffective supplements, dieters may turn away.
The Science
There’s little information on the Body Lab website about anything other than the products. You can’t find the name of the company behind the line and you have no idea where the supplements are shipped from. Along this same road is a lack of scientific research. We found nothing to support claims. At DietSpotlight we believe science is one of the most important gauges. If none exists, that is problematic.
The Bottom Line
Initially, we were interested in the Body Lab line. We like that there are some positive reviews and the company does offer a few details about the products they sell, but we can’t recommend Body Lab because the customer’s claim contact with a representative is difficult and many of the products are deemed ineffective. It also worries us that there is no information on the corporation responsible for the business.
If the time has come to change your life and lose weight, we suggest going with a supplement that delivers a good product at a great price and a list of ingredients supported with clinical research.
Of the products we’ve reviewed, among the best is one called Leptigen. The proprietary formula is made up of four ingredients, with published scientific support, proven to help speed up metabolism and fat loss. There’s no talk of harmful side effects and dieters frequently report great results.
Also, the company behind Leptigen is so confident in the formula they’re offering a special trial offer, a rarity in this business.
