The ingredients in Korexin Omega are simple to understand. CLA is conjugated linoleic acid. There was once a time when CLA was the emerging weight loss supplement. Claims included being able to lose weight without changing diet or exercising. Those claims were soon replaced with real scientific findings and CLA was moved back into line as an omega not a weight loss product.

GLA or gamma linoleic acid is often referred to as omega 6 fatty acid. We are not sold on the effort of Korexin Omega to include omega 6 fatty acids. There is a careful balance that needs to be met in the body for optimal health. That balance should be 1 to 1, but health improvements may be recognized at a ratio of 5 to 1. Western diets are omega 6 heavy with an average ratio of 15 to 1; omega 6 to omega 3. Dieters do not need more omega 6 fatty acids, they need more omega 3s to balance out the healthy ratio.

EPA and DHA are the omega 3 fatty acids we want to take and intake more of. There is no mention on the official Korexin Omega website of the amount of omega 3s in the supplement, but the benefits of omega 3s in Korexin would be minimized by the amount of omega 6s.

Korexin Omega is a start in the right direction, but dieters need to skip any omega supplement that contains GLA. GLA is omega 6 fatty acid and we intake 15 times more omega 6 than omega 3. We need omega 3 fatty acids much more than omega 6 fatty acids.
